Moderated a panel discussion on organ donation after circulatory death at the World Congress of Nephrology at Delhi on 9th February 2025
Manipal Hospital Delhi organized the 10th anniversary of Fecal Microbiota Transplant in India on 14th Nov. The first FMT in India was carried out by Dr Avnish Seth, Chairman Institute of Gastroenterology and Hepatology-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences and Head Manipal Organ Sharing and Transplant in a patient with Ulcerative Colitis on 14th Nov 2014. Since then, FMT has been transforming lives by correcting gut dysbiosis and offering new hope for those battling diseases like Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Crohn’s Disease, Alcoholic Liver Disease, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Parkinson’s Disease and Metabolic Syndrome. The team has performed 258 procedures at no cost in patients from 10 countries and 18 states/UTs. Recipients and donors joined for an interactive session, sharing their thoughts, emotions and life-changing experiences with FMT.
